After much prayer, our friends in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, have a new larger church building of their own for Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, Kinshasa. They opened their new church for a Christmas/Thanksgiving service on December 25, 2016. Much work remains to be done, but much love of church is evident. Two youth musical groups sang at the end of the service, one from Fifth Church and one from nearby Kimbanseke.

Our congregation is dedicated to living in accord with the truths Jesus taught, which bring help and healing to every need. You are warmly welcome to take part in our offerings to the Eugene community, which include:
- Sunday church services featuring inspiring Biblical truths from our pastor that you can apply to your daily life.
- Wednesday evening meetings featuring readings on topics pertinent to community concerns, as well as testimonies of inspiration and healing by those attending.
- Sunday School, where children and teens learn how to apply the truths Jesus taught to their everyday lives.
- A public Reading Room available for Bible-based study leading to inspiration and spiritual growth. Whatever your questions about life, you'll find answers in the Reading Room!
- Christian Science Lectures provided free to our community.
Child care for small children is lovingly provided during all our church services.
